New Business Unit organizational structure to drive innovation and commodity excellence
In today's fast-changing business environment, speed, responsiveness and efficiency are critical characteristics for any successful company. To further strengthen Lite-On Mobile's competitiveness and our vertical integration value proposition, LOM has announced a new Business Unit (BU) organizational structure.
Effective from July 1st, 2011, Lite-On Mobile has the following Business Units:
- BU Plastics / Antenna, led by Cor Saris (acting)
- BU Metal / Mechanism, led by Michael Chuang
- BU Manufacturing Services, led by James Lin
- Touch Modules, Lite-On Young Fast Joint Venture, led by Leo Hsieh
Commodity-specific R&D, Program Competence Teams, Operations, and Tooling are all under BU management. The BUs will focus on driving innovations and commodity excellence, and working with Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and Program Management Teams to take LOM to the next level. With this organizational change we are able to drive our efficiency and optimize our capacity allocation and utilization.
