Metal PVD adds color and scratch resistance to stainless steel
LITEONMOBILE has added metal PVD technology into the portfolio and it is now available in large volumes at the Guagzhou plant in China. Metal PVD enables the combination of a hard coating and a variety of colors on stainless steel, while still retaining the metallic feeling. The hard coating is resistant to scratches.

The metal PVD coating is produced by using a physical vapor deposition technology – sputter deposition of a hard substance such as transition metal carbides, nitrides or borides on a metal substrate. The coating materials are very hard and enable various colors by changing the composition of the coating. In addition to metal PVD, LITEONMOBILE also offers NCVM coating for plastics, and has firm plans for new solutions like PVD on foil.
