To provide a consistent interface also on corporate social responsibility issues, LITEONMOBILE companies have launched a project to integrate their CSR programs. The aim is to establish a co-operation model and a way of working that not only utilizes the current set-up but also provides harmonized key performance indicators and reporting on all companies. The scope of the integrated approach will include ethics, labor, security, environment and health & safety issues.
- All LITEONMOBILE companies have previously established CSR practices and actions, but I believe that the integrated approach provides added value to our key stakeholders and also an excellent internal benchmark for future development, says Cor Saris, Perlos CEO.
Customers will benefit from transparency and consistency of reporting as all LITEONMOBILE companies commit to same world class actions to meet and exceed the international standards.
A project plan for integration will be prepared by the end of 2008, and implementation at the corporate and site level will start early next year. All progress and milestones will be communicated promptly and in depth.
- We see CSR as an important and topical theme in today's corporate climate. It is also a factor in decision-making within all stakeholder groups: customers, suppliers, personnel, and we cannot underestimate its significance, concludes Cor Saris.
