Lite-On Mobile reinforces its Global Tooling
Lite-On Mobile has strengthened its Global Tools operations, having now dedicated tool shops in Shenzhen, Beijing and Zhuhai. LOM has also metal tool operations in Guangzhou and since early 2011 a dedicated tooling team in LOM Chennai. This will greatly improve Chennai’s tooling maintenance capability and facilitate LOM Chennai’s production efficiency.
Overall, the in-house capacity of LOM Tools is about 1,000 sets per year with a team of 800 tools professionals. LOM Tools is geared up for high volume production with high efficiency, and all of the tools are designed for recyclability to ensure efficient use of hot runners and tool frames. To ensure successful program execution LOM Tools uses only top brands in their machines and have a good measuring machine capacity to measure steel and electrode (Mitutoyo CMM) with 3d-tol software. 
LOM Tools uses also high quality steel (mainly Assab) and standard parts (Hasco, Progressive etc.). Besides top -class machinery LOM Tools focuses on its personnel, by giving them training and evaluating their competences. LOM Global Tools is also building up its own pre-design team which can help to improve tooling design efficiency and to better meet customers’ requirements. |
