Lite-On Mobile delivers turnkey solutions

Lite-On Mobile has been widening its product portfolio and service offering steadily over the past few years. During the spring Lite-On Mobile has successful ramped up turnkey solutions  –  turnkey solution products include product design / ESI-support, tool manufacturing, component manufacturing, final assembly, software downloading and final testing.

There are obvious customer benefits, such as fewer suppliers needed, a less complex logistic chain and faster engineering change implementations and ramp-ups. 

The change from a traditional mechanics supplier to a company with a Vertical Integration strategy also enables us to speed up.  One example is the data acquisition device for Altay Scientific . It took only a couple of months from the initial contact in autumn 2010 to the provision of the first samples, and the start-up of mass production could start in April 2011. 

The produced device is used for educational purposes like life science experiments at college and university levels. It collects data, e.g. temperature, and can replace more conventional recorders. 

LOM manufactures almost everything from start to finish for this device (including moulds, tools, fixtures, mechanical components, PCBA and final assembly).
