Former Perlos board member, Cor Saris of the Netherlands, assumed the responsibilities of Perlos CEO at the end of May. In addition to announcing Cor Saris’s appointment, Perlos is proud to introduce yet another new name to the market: LITEONMOBILE.
The LITEONMOBILE service brand was established to cover the offerings of Perlos, Silitech and Lite-On to mobile device vendors. Perlos' broad portfolio of products and strong presence in visual mechanics is now complemented by the availability of keymats and metal housings from Silitech, as well as electronics and assemblies from Lite-On. Both Silitech and Perlos are part of the Lite-On Group, a multi-billion-dollar Taiwanese electronics supplier.
“With the strength of this combination, we aim to be the leader in our industry and, by 2010, to be among the TOP THREE suppliers to mobile device vendors,” states the new CEO.
Cor Saris is well aware of the trend among handset OEMs to focus increasingly on suppliers that are able to provide solutions instead of just stand-alone products. By integrating their supply chain vendors, they want to improve their overall competitiveness and their performance in the creation of new products.
“To address that need, we are constantly expanding the capabilities and service offerings of LITEONMOBILE by investing in high-quality, in-house commodities and through co-operation with the best suppliers and technology partners,” says Saris.
“Additionally, we have fine-tuned our account and program management organisation to be able to provide an efficient window to our total offering and to drive perfect execution in new product creation,” explains Saris, adding, “We want to be the easiest partner to work with!”
LITEONMOBILE’s operating philosophy is driven by their desire to create customer value through integrated services and capabilities. The company also believes strongly in becoming a partner in the innovation process.
“Our motto in this respect is ‘Design Driven Technology’. The need for differentiating quality and design factors is clearly identified within the company. That will allow our customers to offer differentiated user experiences. Strong expertise in exterior design is definitely one of our assets. We know how to make the mobile device look and feel good,” states Cor Saris proudly.
LITEONMOBILE also has a clear vision when it comes to the industry and consumer trends. By listening carefully to customers, suppliers and other players in the market, the company has gained a good understanding of their significance. Real professionalism lies in innovating new ways to implement them.
“We offer interesting and unique solutions, for example in our use of environmentally-friendly and recycled materials; in the way we design and produce devices in non-traditional shapes; our integration of smart antennas; and the way in which we use light as both a decorative and indicative element,” says Saris.
