Plastics & decorations

With state-of-the-art precision moulding and finishing we are able to fully exploit the best qualities of plastics, such as lightness and durability. And by integrating 2 and even 3 different plastics resins or materials such as glass with the latest decoration technologies, the finished plastic parts turn into attractive final products.

CASE: Combining glass and plastics

Plastic seamless cover solution combining Glass Insert Molding and RHCM technology with a seamless one piece cover provides thinner structure with less components, and leaves the product delightfully smooth to the touch. It merges the seamless window section onto the front cover - giving it the appearance of a one-piece component.

Metals & decorations

New types of 3D antennas can be integrated directly into visual or structural mechanics to save space and enable thin design without compromising the design’s attractive look & feel.

Touch panels

Lite-On Mobile provides high quality touch modules to the markets. We have capabilities to provide resistive and capacitive touch modules. Based on customer requirements we can offer different touch solutions: resistive touch lens, capacitive PET modules, capacitive glass modules, and Window integrated solution. We can integrate touch module with front cover to provide total solution to customer.
We provide product ranges from 2 inches to 10 inches touch module products. For capacitive type touch module, we cooperate with world class leading IC manufacturers such as Atmel, Synaptics, Cypress etc. for true multi-touch solutions. Our engineering support covers, layout, CAD, FAE and testing.

Window integrated capacitive touch panel enables cost-effective, thin solution by integrating the panel directly to the window without sensor or lens lamination.

CASE: Combining glass, plastic and touch panel into one

Glass Insert Molding (GIM) technology combines over-molded glass with Rapid Heat Cycle Molding (RHCM) technology to provide an thinner window solution. Lite-On Mobile provides the GIM solution with fully integrated touch functionality, placed directly onto the glass to allow an incredibly slim handset design.

CASE: Combining light and plastic

Low cost 3D optical decoration combining specific, optimized plastic with light. The solution provides various decoration possibilities with light scattering effects, such as backlight, colour changing covers, edge and arena glow, accent illumination etc. Finalize the handheld cover with flash light module combining LED, lens and circuit boards.

Today, we can assemble the entire handheld electronics and offer full package from Surface Mount Technology (SMT) on printed circuit boards (PCB), final assembly to box building.

Innovative LOM R&D team provides full scale mechanisms design services and our mechanics manufacturing with long experience in a global factory network is providing an efficient solution to your mechanisms needs.

CASE: Slider module combining metal and plastic

Slider module construction made of laser welded sheet metal components and plastic over molding is creating a thin and strong basis for the slider phone. By integrating other features to the module, the whole phone construction can be simplified.

Camera modules

LOM camera module product portfolio covers all categories from Fixed Focus and EDoF to Auto Focus and 3D cameras.

Lite-On Mobile designs and produces main and sub-cameras (second cameras) as well as optical finger navigators (OFN) for mobile phones, notebooks and tablets.

We have good experience and capability on lens optical design, auto focus actuator design and wafer level module design. Our automation team can develop testing programs and equipment according to our customers’ requirements.
